'Jannetje' is one of the barge's two en-suite cabins which can be made up as either a twin or double. It enjoys lots of natural light and is decorated in pale neutral colours. The cabin has slightly restricted headroom on the way in and over the head of the bed/s.

The bedroom wall is adorned with a highly detailed batik painting I purchased in Jogjakarta, Indonesia during my travels there in 1989. 

Jannetje has a large opening glass roof hatch, fixed side window plus two opening portholes.

There is plenty of wicker drawer space to store clothing plus a wardrobe for hanging space. If the cabin is arranged as a twin, both under bed spaces become useable providing extra storage space. You can really unpack and settle in!

All linen and towels are provided and the room comes complete with an electric fan and hairdryer and plenty of 230 volt European electrical sockets.

Way back in 1922, my barge was launched as the motor barge 'Jannetje' and as was common at the time, named in honour of the new owners wife. The name is Dutch and pronounced "Yan-Etch-Cherr".
