Every night the pile of 'barges to see' got smaller and smaller, but tonight was far worse, the pile had gone! I gazed out from my overnight parking, umpteenth beer in hand watching beautiful Dutch sailing clippers (barges) glide right past my doorway. I wondered if it had all been a big mistake and that barging wasn't really going to play a part in my future after all. A magnificent full moon rose as I retired inside the van and vowing to give up the whole 'crazy' idea first thing in the morning, I noticed a scrunched up torn out news clipping, that had somehow fallen from my waste paper bin onto the camper van's floor. I picked it up and for no apparent reason, rather than put it back in the bin, put it on my table instead. Thoroughly depressed, I headed off to bed.
