Vitesse was officially renamed on the full moon of October 2004. The name simply meaning, "Heaven" in  the Indian Sanskrit language. After so many years spent in India, I had now found my personal 'Heaven'. Many important events in my life have been witnessed by full moons and just as I'd accidentally discovered Vitesse on a full moon, I decided to rename her on one too. And what a truly Wonderful moon it was too. the barge now had British registration, flew the red ensign proudly at her stern and was immaculately presented in her new livery. If only the same could be said of the interior...
