the barge's on board garden supplies the galley with virtually all the culinary herbs needed aboard throughout the year. 

Cherry tomatoes, radishes, nasturtiums, chives, rosemary, coriander, mint, spearmint, sage, chervil, basil, tarragon, lettuce, mesclun salad leaves, mustard and cress all grow in profusion.  

During summer, the barge's own troughs provide almost all of the salad leaves and herbs consumed aboard.

the barge's troughs of hardy red geraniums get carefully stored during the winter months, but in summer provide vivid floral displays that have very much become very much part of the ships identity.
