A continental breakfast
and a light lunch are included each day together with a home
cooked welcome dinner on the night of your arrival.Breakfast usually consists of freshly brewed coffee, breakfast teas, fruit juice, cereals, baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat, ham, cheese, jams, yogurt and maybe boiled eggs. A light lunch generally comprises freshly prepared salad, a selection of cheeses, cold meats, crusty local breads and time permitting, a hot dish such as quiche Lorraine, tartiflette, French fries or jacket potatoes. Bread supplies are dictated by our mooring location and proximity to a baker that's open. Dinners other than your welcome meal are taken at your own expense in hostelries ashore or by self-catering aboard. I generally recommend people budget for about £15-20 per person per meal out. The prices will very much depend on your choice of restaurant and costs can vary tremendously. The guide price does not include alcohol. Dining out is all part of the experience and a must if you really want to get a feel for the country, it's cuisine and its culture. Should we find ourselves at a remote mooring with no restaurants, dinner we'll have a BBQ or self-cater aboard. |
